 Step 2

Click on the image icon, as indicated in the screenshot below. If you cannot see the image icon in the toolbar, click on the double drop-down arrow on the furthest-right of the toolbar. This will fully expand the editor.

Clicking the icon opens the image upload screen.

 Step 3

You can either upload an image from your computer or, if you have an image hosted elsewhere, you can paste the image url into the box.

It is good practice to enter a title and description for your image. This helps improve accessibility of your content.

 Step 4

The 'appearance' tab provides some image formatting options. You can set the alignment, resize your image and add a border.

Although you can resize your image by adjusting the dimensions it is best practice to optimise your image beforehand using an image editor such as Photoshop in order to maintain the best quality.

If you wish to add a border around your image you can do this by adding a '1' to the border field.

Once you have finished, click the 'insert' button.

Click the 'submit' button at the bottom of the image editor screen to insert your image.
Add a description to content items and folders
To add a description to a content item or folder repeat Step 1 and use the text editor to add information about the item. Then repeat Step 5 to save and close the screen.
Use this to signpost students to resources and course materials.
