We provide a wide range of facilities, equipment, accessories and software at the university.

Service Desk

The Service Desk is staffed at the following times: 

08:30 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday 

08:30 - 16:30 Friday 

​Technical issues with university computers should be reported to the Service Desk who will arrange for a site technician​ from the desktop team to visit if required.

Before reporting a problem please check our information pages on this site for any guidance. 

Also, you can check the IT status page​ to see if there are any current issues with the service you are trying to use.
Student helpers can be found in open access computer rooms and libraries. More information by clicking here... ​

 Computer Clinics


​​Staff and students can get support with using their own personal computers at one of the Computer Clinics held at each campus.


 Open Access Computers

​Each campus has areas of open access computers for students, using their university account. Click here to check locations and opening times. You can log on to an available computer, or you can book a PC in advance online.

 Laptop Loans

Students can borrow laptops for free from the Checkland Atrium, SILS in Watts, and Aldrich, Falmer, and St Peters House libraries.

 Equipment Loans

​​Audio / visual equipment can be borrowed from the university. Students can obtain items from Grand Parade, Eastbourne and Hastings. Items for staff are available from Falmer.

 Training and guidance

We offer various workshops, resources and contacts to help you use some of the software and systems provided by the university.
