Collections: using and adding to

 Using the collections

The university libraries offer an extensive collection of books, journals, and e-resources and our staff are happy to help you discover the correct resources for your needs.

Before requesting an addition to the library collections please check whether it is already in stock by using the Online Library this is where you will find out which print books, e-books, DVDs, and print and online journals we already hold. It links to the library catalogue, our Subject Guides, the Online Journal Finder, audio-visual resources, and more.

For details on what we purchase and how we make decisions please see the Information Services, Library Collection Development and Management Policy

Past student dissertations can be an excellent resource for students when they are preparing their own dissertations. Libraries will hold up to 5 dissertations from the previous year of a course and they must be accompanied by a Dissertation Permission Slip signed by the author.
